The Charity
|
We raised money for Mercy Corps who exist to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression
by helping people build secure, productive and just communities.
Mercy Corps' assistance to India dates back to January 2001
when the agency responded to a devastating earthquake in Gujarat.
Today, Mercy Corps is working to build community collaboration
and fulfil dire health and economic needs.
Amongst many other projects Mercy Corps are helping to bring clean water,
economic opportunities and technical training to isolated villages
around Darjeeling and the Himalayan foothills. They are helping families pull
out of poverty and stand on their own two feet.

It All Went To Charity
|
|
|
Every penny donated went to charity. We paid all our own costs ...
which was a small fortune, what with the entry fee, rickshaw hire fee, visas,
petrol, food, flights, etc. but that was our problem. Your donations went to charity.
