The Rickshaw Run
From the southern tip of India to the Himalayan foothills of Nepal.
The 2008 Rickshaw Run challenged some of the worlds most
hardened adventurers ... and we were there too.
On the 1st of January 2008, after much pomp and ceremony,
we jumped into our less than trusty rickshaw,
revved its engine, and then kangaroo jump over the start line,
before stalling it, cursing it, kicking it, and finally
cajoling it in a somewhat northerly direction for a couple
of thousand miles.
Some two weeks later we were expected to splutter into Kathmandu, in Nepal,
closely followed by Delhi-belly, malaria and altitude sickness -
did this happen ... well read on to find out.
We didn't do this for fun we'll have you know, well okay maybe we did,
but we also wanted to raise a couple of grand for charity.
